Smartasses Magazine Top 100 - Female EmpowermentJenna Marbles Bio – Smartasses Magazine Jenna Nicole Mourey (born September 15, 1986) is an American YouTube personality, vlogger, comedian, and actress. Marbles graduated from Brighton High School in 2004, and attended Suffolk University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and later attended Boston University for her Masters of Education in Sport Psychology and Counselling. The name Marbles came from her dog Mr. Marbles.

Marbles initially started her career with Barstool Sports, where she wrote for their female counterpart site StoolLaLa. She now uploads a new video to her YouTube channel every Wednesday or Thursday. Marbles gained fame after she released a video in 2010 entitled How To Trick People Into Thinking You’re Good Looking, which was viewed over 5.3 million times in its first week. Her video How To Avoid Talking To People You Don’t Want To Talk To was featured in articles by The New York Times and ABC News in August 2011, and had approximately 35 million views as of November 2015. As of May 2016, Marbles’ channel had over 16 million subscribers, and over 1.8 billion views, making it the seventh most subscribed channel on YouTube and the top channel operated by a female.

Marbles appeared as Eve in the Adam vs. Eve episode in season two of Epic Rap Battles of History. She also played a banana in the Fake n’ Bacon episode of The Annoying Orange. Later, Marbles played Miley Cyrus in a Wrecking Ball inspired segment of YouTube Rewind 2013, and appeared as herself in Smosh: The Movie. On January 30, she appeared in season four of Ridiculousness. Marbles also hosts a weekly pop countdown on SiriusXM Hits 1 called YouTube 15, and co-hosts the Jenna and Julien Podcast.

In the summer of 2010, Marbles was sharing a three bedroom apartment in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She had a rent of $800 that she paid for by bartending, working at a tanning salon, blogging, and go-go dancing at nightclubs. Marbles’ mother was unemployed at the time that Jenna’s first video went viral, and was concerned that the content might put off potential employers. Marbles released a brand of dog toys called Kermie Worm & Mr. Marbles, based upon her real dogs. She has also created items with some of her most memorable quotes printed on them.

Why we think she’s hot:

Jenna Marbles may have tried to pull the wool over everyone’s else’s eyes, by attempting to appear as unattractive as possible in her infamous 2010 video– but she didn’t fool us. As a result, we here at Smartasses Magazine rewrote our own eligibility rules in 2013 to allow Internet stars into our Top 100, just so Jenna could get in. Seems we made a wise decision, seeing as how AskMen decided that they liked our idea and included Miss Marbles in their 2013 99 Most Desirable a few months later, and then FHM decided to copy our choice one more time, two years later, by naming her to their 100 Sexiest in 2015. Pardon our adolescent yawp, but we saw her first fellas.
