From 2007-2008 while at Missouri, Parker began her broadcast career at age 19, providing on-air forecasts for local radio stations and KOMU-TV. From May 2009 – December 2010, prior to her graduation from college, she served as the promotions director, community events coordinator and weekday morning meteorologist, for WAKA CBS 8 in Montgomery, Alabama. Why we think she’s hot:

There are several dark moments in American history– The Battle of Antietam, the stock market crash of 1929, and the day that Kait Parker left The Weather Channel as an on-air meteorologist. Unless you’ve sipped the veritable Kool-Aid that is Miss Kait, who is a huge supporter of #‎girlpower‬ by the way, you may not fully comprehend how serious we are when we make that statement. On Lord’s Day mornings, she was the gal who put the sun in Sunday, and on late Friday nights, she was the voice you fell asleep to. Kait not only singlehandedly made the word bubbly a good thing again, if you were a fan of her down-to-earth effervescence, as anyone who watched her work the greenscreen beyond the three-minute mark became, it was not a case of, “Let’s check out the weather, and oh, hey, I like this weathergirl.” It was, “Let’s watch Kait Parker, and hey, we’ll find out if it’s going to rain as a bonus!” Thankfully, we’ll always have her “Science” videos, but television overall, is a much darker place with her absence.
