In 2011, DeVitto wed her Killer Movie co-star Paul Wesley in a private ceremony in New York City. The couple filed for divorce in July 2013.

DeVitto took acting classes at Zoe & Company in Orlando, Florida, and at age fifteen, she began modeling, working in commercials and print ads. Her first break in acting came in 1999, when she participated in the Spelling Production, Safe Harbor. A year later, she booked the Nickelodeon pilot, Noah Knows Best. DeVitto also co-starred in the ABC Family drama Beautiful People from 2005 to 2006, and appeared in the 2006 horror film I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer. Furthermore, DeVitto has guest-starred on Drake & Josh, Scrubs, Jack & Bobby and had a small part in the romantic drama short film Forbidden Love. Her film debut came in the drama Starcrossed, while her additional film credits include the comedy Heber Holiday, the comedy-drama Green Flash, and playing Maggie Hall in the Lifetime drama Army Wives. DeVitto is best known for her roles as Melissa Hastings in the Freeform series Pretty Little Liars opposite Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell. She is also well known for playing Dr. Meredith Fell in The CW drama The Vampire Diaries, Dr. Natalie Manning in the NBC medical drama Chicago Med, as well as the psycho nanny Carrie in The CW drama One Tree Hill, alongside Jana Kramer, Sophia Bush and Kate Voegele.

DeVitto is only twelve years younger than Lesley Fera, who plays her mother on Pretty Little Liars. When DeVitto was six years old, she took violin lessons, and while in the fourth grade, earned her place as the fourth chair violinist in her high school band. From 1995 to 1997, she played in the Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra, and from 1998 to 1999, she played in the Florida Youth Artist Orchestra, traveling with the company to Austria. When DeVitto was twelve, she played a solo violin piece at Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook’s wedding, and in 2002, played violin with the Tommy Davidson Band at the Sunset Room in Hollywood. DeVitto’s mother had been Stevie Nicks’s best friend since the late 1970s, and met DeVitto’s father when he was the drummer on Nicks’ Wild Heart Tour. On the day of her birth, Billy Joel was performing at the Wembley Arena and made a special note before beginning The Longest Time, that DeVitto’s mother was having a baby, causing a standing ovation for her father, who was playing the drums for Joel at the concert. DeVitto was named Torrey after her mother’s maiden name, and her middle name Joel is for Billy Joel. In addition to acting and music, DeVitto is a Hospice Ambassador, and also supports The Humane Society of the United States. Why we think she’s hot:

We first discovered the gorgeous Torrey DeVitto as part of an Up and Coming Stars of 2007 article, and fell firmly in love with her during her run on the now defunct series, Beautiful People. Well, we haven’t looked back since, and she sure was on an aptly named show, eh? Hard bodied with oodles and oodles of Euro-goodness, and an active agenda for PETA to boot– it might actually behoove the Freeform network to revamp Beautiful People, just to broadcast Miss DeVitto reading a phone book for 43 minutes.
